In October, Marian Clewarth won the prestigious
annual Southport Seminar competition. This year it was for a short story
and was judged by Ian Somerille, editor of My Weekly. Ian also bought
the story for the magazine.
The Club has been asked to adjudicate the
2001 competiton for Billinge school chiidren ????
We are also planning to invite DC Keith Hudson
to give a talk on Crime. This to coincide with our February meeting 'Describe
a Murder'.
Later in the year we are expecting prolific
Mills & Boon writer, Jennifer Taylor, to attend a meeting to give
a talk on writing for Mills & Boon and about the publisher in general.
